OLLIE GERTRUDE⁶ IMBODEN (James William⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on May 10, 1877 in Franklin Co, MO.2,14  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1880 taken in Bole, Franklin Co, MO.  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Washington Co, MO.  She died on Apr 29, 1966 in an unknown location.2

Ollie Gertrude IMBODEN and Firmin BOUSHON were married on Feb 24, 1902 in MO.2  Firmin BOUSHON (son of John Christopher Almond BOUSHON and Lucy WALLEN) was born on Nov 28, 1878 in an unknown location.2  He died on Jul 18, 1945 in an unknown location.2  Ollie Gertrude IMBODEN and Firmin BOUSHON had the following children:

i. FLOYD PURSLEY⁷ was born on May 19, 1903 in an unknown location.2

ANNIE RUTH⁶ IMBODEN (James William⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Sep 8, 1878 in Franklin Co, MO.2,14  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1880 taken in Bole, Franklin Co, MO.  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Washington Co, MO.  She died on May 5, 1957 in an unknown location.2

Annie Ruth IMBODEN and Ellis WOOD were married about 1904 in an unknown location.2  Ellis WOOD was born on Oct 1, 1884 in an unknown location.2  He died on Mar 13, 1971 in an unknown location.2  Annie Ruth IMBODEN and Ellis WOOD had the following children:

SCOTT ALBERT⁶ IMBODEN (Thomas V.⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on May 4, 1875 in Pulaski Co, MO.2,26,58  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1880 taken in Union, Pulaski Co, MO.  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Pulaski Co, MO.  He was enumerated with his parents in the 1880 and 1900 census.  He was listed as the head in the census in Jun  1910 taken in Pulaski Co, MO.  He was listed as the head in the census in Jun  1920 taken in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK.  He died on Jan 2, 1963 in Pulaski Co, MO.2,58  He was buried in Jan  1963 in Dixon cemetary, Pulaski CO, MO..79 

     The 1920 Federal Soundex shows Scott living in Tulsa county Oklahoma. His daughter, Blanch, is shown as 6 month old and born in Missouri indicating he just moved there when the census was taken.  He moved back to Missouri sometime before his death in 1963.
     From Christine Comotto, a great-granddaughter of Scott, "Scott was a veteran of the Spanish American War and died at the Federal Soldier's Home in Missouri."  Also, "According to Mearl (Virginia Imboden) Koterba, the Imbodens had moved to Tulsa, OK because their father, Scott Imboden, was doing drilling in the oil fields near Tulsa.  After a while he moved back to MO and the family settled in the St. Louis area."

Scott Albert IMBODEN and Tillie SIMPSON were married on Feb 3, 1904 in Union, Pulaski Co, MO.26  Tillie SIMPSON was born on Feb 20, 1883 in Pulaski Co, MO.2  She was listed as a wife in the census in Jun  1910 taken in Pulaski Co, MO.  She was listed as a wife in the census in Jun  1920 taken in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK.  She died on Jan 30, 1959 in Pulaski Co, MO.2  Scott Albert IMBODEN and Tillie SIMPSON had the following children:

The information sent to me by Christine Comotto shows Catherine's name as Catherine "Hazel" Imboden.  Hazel may be the name she went by.

Catherine H. IMBODEN and William ALLEN were married about 1935 in St Louis, MO.79  William ALLEN was born about 1915 in an unknown location.

vi. BLANCH L. was born on Jun 25, 1919 in MO.14,26,79  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1920 taken in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK.  She was enumerated with her parents in the 1920 census. 

Information sent to me by Christine Comotto shows Blanche's name as Blanche Emma Louise Imboden.  It appears her middle name was Louise and maybe went by the name Emma.  Additional information says Blanch moved to Hollywood, CA and that her father, Scott, lived with her for a while prior to his death.

Blanch L. IMBODEN and Marvin HEEG were married about 1938 in St Louis, MO.79  Marvin HEEG was born about 1918 in an unknown location.

vii. ALICE FAY was born on Jan 14, 1923 in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK.26,79 

Information from Christine Comotto says Alice and her husband lived in CA and that they had six children.

Alice Fay IMBODEN and Phillip HALLER were married about 1942 in St Louis, MO.79  Phillip HALLER was born about 1922 in an unknown location.

viii. SCOTT ALBERT was born on Jan 3, 1925 in Tulsa, Tulsa Co, OK.58  He died in Apr  1987 in OK.58 

     It appears Scott may have stayed in Oklahoma after his parents and family move back to Missouri since he died here. 
     Information sent to me by Christine Comotto shows Scott went by the nickname Sonny and that at some point he moved to Australia.  She also sent me information from the Social Security Death Index records which shows Scott's Last Residence as "718 (US Consulate) Melbourne, Australia".

ii. OTIS was born on Jun 20, 1904 in Cape Girarden Co, MO.14,58  He was listed as a son in the census in May  1910 taken in Cape Girarden Co, MO.  He died in Dec  1967 in an unknown location.58 

The Social Security records indicate Ottis was born in TN and the census records indicates MO.  I have found several instances where the Social Security records were incorrect regarding the state a person was born in.

iii. HAZEL (1907) was born about 1907 in Cape Girarden Co, MO.14  She was listed as a daughter in the census in May  1910 taken in Cape Girarden Co, MO.

iv. VERA was born about 1909 in Cape Girarden Co, MO.14  She was listed as a daughter in the census in May  1910 taken in Cape Girarden Co, MO.

LESLIE PIER⁶ IMBODEN (Columbus Alexander⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Jan 13, 1884 in Belle, Maries Co, MO.2,26,63  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Greer Co, OK.  He was enumerated with his parents in the 1900 census.  He was listed as a lodger in the census in Jan  1920 taken in Wichita Falls, Wichita Co, TX.  He died on Jan 1, 1963 in Gallup, McKinley Co, NM.26,63 

     Leslie was living in Greer County, Oklahoma during the 1900 and 1910 census.  It is assumed he was married in Greer County.  His wife was the sister of Stella Imboden's husband Louis Allen.  The 1920 census lists a Leslie Imboden age 35 as a lodger in Wichita Falls, TX.  I have assumed this is the Leslie shown.
     I am not sure when he moved to Gallup, NM but I remember we stopped to visit him in the mid 50's traveling from OK to California.  To the best of my memory, he worked in a uranium processing plant there.  I remember he had a set of 410 gauge shotgun pistols made before they became illegal.  They were in a custom box, like a set of dueling pistols.  They lived on the side of a very steep hill which over looked downtown Gallup.  A very scary place to stand as a kid.
     My father said Leslie had only two children but maybe he forgot one.

Leslie Pier IMBODEN and Loula May ALLEN were married on Jan 30, 1905 in Granite, Greer Co, OK.26,48,63  Loula May ALLEN (daughter of George L. ALLEN and Ollie HAYNES) was born about 1886 in Greer Co, OK.26,48  She died in Gallup, McKinley Co, NM.63 

Loula was a sister of Louis Allen who married Stella Imboden.  Leslie Pier IMBODEN and Loula May ALLEN had the following children:

i. OLIVIA LOVE⁷ was born on Nov 29, 1905 in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.63  She died on Feb 10, 1906 in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.63

266. STELLA S.⁶ IMBODEN (Columbus Alexander⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Oct 18, 1885 in Maries Co, MO.14,48,58  She was listed as a daughter in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Greer Co, OK.  She died in Oct  1975 in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.26,58 

I still remember my aunt Stella and her pet parrot even though I was only at her home once or twice.  It was in the late 40's or early 50's that I knew her when I was about 10 years old.  Her husband had already died at the time.  She was living in Mangum, Oklahoma where she lived all her life to the best of my knowledge.  My father thinks she may have married her second husband in Texas and lived there for a while.

She was buried in Mangum, OK, I think it was the Riverside Cemetery.

Stella S. IMBODEN and Louis W. ALLEN were married about 1905 in Greer Co, OK.26  Louis W. ALLEN was born about 1885 in OK.26 

Louis is a brother of Loula May Allen who married Leslie P. Imboden.  Stella S. IMBODEN and Louis W. ALLEN had the following children:

i. ELOISE D.⁷ was born on Jan 31, 1906 in OK.26,48

Eloise D. ALLEN and Bill FRANCIS were married about 1925 in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.48  Bill FRANCIS was born about 1905 in OK.48

ii. ARGIE was born about 1907 in Greer Co, OK.63

iii. WILBERT was born about 1908 in Greer Co, OK.26

THOMAS WILBERT⁶ IMBODEN (Columbus Alexander⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Dec 7, 1887 in Maries Co, MO.14,26,48  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Greer Co, OK.  He was listed as a son in the census in May  1910 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  He was enumerated with his parents in the 1900 and 1910 census.  He was listed as the head in the census in Jan  1920 taken in Quartz, Greer Co, OK.  He was listed as the head in the census in Apr  1930 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  He died on Oct 14, 1952 in Mesa, Maricopa Co, AZ.48 

     My parents stopped to visit the family of Buck Imboden during one of our trips to California in the 50's.  This shows he had already died at the time but I thought he was still living.  I can still remember the house and the area, as it was then, but I do not have any visual recollection of any of the people there.  The main thing that has always stuck in my memory about our visit is that parts of what appeared to be a copper still was stored in the loft of his garage.  While visiting with Auldric Imboden, one of Bucks descendants who furnished some of this information, I asked him if he remembered this still.  He did not.  It makes me wonder if I am mistaken about it.
     Buck was enumerated with his brother-in-law, Louis Allen, Stella Imboden's husband, in the 1910 census.
     The 1920 census shows Buck and his family living in Quartz, Greer Co, OK.  As a fact in history, sometime after this, a dam was built creating Lake Altus (sometimes called Lugart Lake by locals) which covered the town of Quartz.  A state park was built near the dam which was named Quartz Mountain State Park.

Thomas Wilbert IMBODEN and Lydia Laura HUGLIN were married on Feb 24, 1918 in Greer Co, OK.26,48  Lydia Laura HUGLIN (daughter of Carl HUGLIN and Annie (HUGLIN)) was born on Oct 4, 1896 in Bell Co, TX.48,58  She was listed as a wife in the census in Jan  1920 taken in Quartz, Greer Co, OK.  She was listed as a wife in the census in Apr  1930 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  She died in Apr  1987 in Mesa, Maricopa Co, AZ.58  Thomas Wilbert IMBODEN and Lydia Laura HUGLIN had the following children:

According to family, Truman was married once prior to his marriage to Edna but no one has a record of the date of marriage or name of that wife.  There were no children to either marriage.

Truman Royce IMBODEN and Edna (IMBODEN) were married about 1944 in Mesa, Maricopa Co, AZ.48  Edna (IMBODEN) was born on Nov 21, 1925 in AZ.48

v. DONALD COLUMBUS was born on May 23, 1926 in Greer Co, OK.48  He was listed as a son in the census in Apr  1930 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  He died in 2000.26  Donald and Floie had no children.

Donald Columbus IMBODEN and Florie Lu (IMBODEN) were married on Dec 1, 1943 in Mesa, Maricopa Co, AZ.48  Florie Lu (IMBODEN) was born on Oct 14, 1928 in AZ.48  She died about 2005 in an unknown location.26

vii. FRANK MARTIN was born on Jan 22, 1929 in Greer Co, OK.48  He was listed as a son in the census in Apr  1930 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK. 

An Imboden family residence list in my possession which was taken from various public domain records lists Frank as Frank M. and Emma Imboden.  The information from Etta Imboden shows Edna as the name of Frank's wife.  I don't know if she may have mixed Emma's name up with Truman's wife's name (Edna) or if the Social Security records are wrong, which they often are.  Frank and Emma had no children.

Frank Martin IMBODEN and Emma (IMBODEN) were married on Jan 9, 1965 in Mesa, Maricopa Co, AZ.48  Emma (IMBODEN) was born on Nov 21, 1929 in AZ.48  She died about 1999 in an unknown location.26

i. VELMA⁷ was born about 1910 in Greer Co, OK.26

ii. SIEGAL was born about 1912 in Greer Co, OK.26

iii. ELMO was born on Jul 9, 1918 in Greer Co, OK.26,58  He died in Aug  1929 in CA.58

ROBERT LEE⁶ IMBODEN (Columbus Alexander⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Nov 25, 1891 in Maries Co, MO.26,64  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Greer Co, OK.  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1910 taken in Greer Co, OK.  He was enumerated with his parents in the 1900 and 1910 census.  He was listed as the head in the census in Jan  1920 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  He was listed as the head in the census in Apr  1930 taken in Mangum, Greer Co, OK.  He died on Apr 19, 1982 in Granite, Greer Co, OK.24  He was buried on Apr 21, 1982 in Rock Cemetery, Granite, OK.26 

Robert, my grandfather, liked to tell stories of when he was a kid and I liked to listen to them until I heard them all.  He told of when they came to the Oklahoma Territory and the prairie grass was almost as tall as a man on horseback.  In these days, smoke on the horizon down wind could spell almost certain death.  A prairie fire swept by the wind could travel faster than a horse could run.  He would tell of seeing small bands of Indians still roaming the prairie. At some point after his father got older he and his wife lived on the farm just north of the "Y" between Granite and Mangum, Oklahoma, the place his father settled. About 1951, a couple of years after the farm was sold, they moved to Granite, OK.  If I remember correctly, the farm was bought by my grandmother's brother who I knew as Uncle Spurge.  When they moved, they found letters in the basement of the farm house addressed to them at Mangum, Oklahoma Territory, Mangum, Texas and Mangum, Oklahoma.  This area of Oklahoma was once part of Texas.  This old two story house had no electricity or running water.  They did have natural gas which was used for lighting down stairs, heating, cooking and a gas refrigerator.  The upstairs was lighted with kerosene lamps.  The only heat was down stairs was in the living room and during the winter it didn't take long to get down the stairs to the heat.  Actually, I think it took longer to get out from under all of the blankets then it did to get dressed.  It also didn't take long to get to the outhouse and back. They did get electricity at the farm in about 1950 just before they moved to town. From the time I was a small child, he worked for Greer County driving a road grader.  I spent many hours with him watching the dirt roll off the end of the blade.  The 1910 census shows he was born in 1893 but that is wrong.  The following was written by his oldest son, Curtis and I think it tells the story very well.

                                                   MY FATHER

                                     November 25, 1891 - April 19, 1982

My father lived by the side of the road and was a friend to man. He lived on the prairie by the Chisolm Trail.  He was not a big man - 5'9", 165 pounds, but looked the world and his fellow man straight in the eye.  He lived on the prairie for over 90 years.

He was a wrestler, Texas style.  Once a man stopped by the farm who had heard he would take on "ALL COMERS."  They tied their horses to the plow to wrestle with no one else in sight, no holds bared except grabbing one finger or eye gouging, to tear up an acre of land.

He, his brother, and brother-in-law built a big ranch house on my grandfather's farm.  He carried a gun a big part of his life when he was young before it was illegal and then as a Deputy Sheriff when things were "slack" on the ranch. When his father passed away and the farm was sold, he went to work for the county driving a road grader. After retirement at 65, he became the City Marshall in Granite, OK for five years. He never drew his gun but twice, but was ready to use it both times.

I remember as a lad no one stopped by the farm that was refused food or feed and water for their livestock.  We lived by that road and he was a friend to all man.  My dad was the first to buy a motorcycle that would scare horses off the road, and also carry his girlfriend, later to be his wife, my Mom.  He also was one of the first to buy an auto in the area.  Also, one of the first to use a tractor for farming.  This was during the great depression of the 1910's, but still no man was refused food or lodging who stopped by overnight by the road.  By then the road had become a paved highway.

He and my mom had two sons.  He sent both of us through college. My father lived in a time when a fast horse could only go 30 mph but lived to see a man land on the moon.  He never flew on a plane until he over 70.

At about age 80, smoking had clogged his arteries necessitating an artery transplant from the Aorta to his knees.  It was touch and go for awhile.  He lost one third of his right foot to infection, but he was able to walk with the aid of a cane for another 10 years.  At age 85, he was to get a pace maker, but he still enjoyed playing pool, cards, and dominos until the end.

Four and a half months after this 90th birthday, Mom called saying your Dad is very low, you better come home.  I caught the next plane out to get home the day before he "passed on."  A friend told me that two days before, Dad had told him, "This is my last stop.  I had a vision - an angel, a male angel, said to me, 'We are coming after you soon.'  I want to go home."  And we buried him there, on the prairie, by the side of the road.

Esther (Ester) lived with her son Edgar Leslie Imboden and his wife in Purcell, Ok  from shortly after her husband, Robert, died until her death.

DANIEL C.⁶ IMBODEN (Wiley M.⁵, John David⁴, David³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born in May  1891 in Anderson Co, TX.14  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Anderson Co, Texas.  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1910 taken in Cherokee Co, TX.  He died in Nov  1965 in San Francisco, SF Co., CA.73  He was buried in Nov  1965 in Presidio Cemetery, San Francisco, CA.73 

This text and some of the family information for Daniel was furnished by this grandson Steve Faulk.  Daniel was a newspaper man in the San Francisco Bay area and in San Luis Obispo, CA. before WWII.  He graduated from Texas A&M university around 1912.  He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant during WWI and entered WWII as a Captain.  He rose to Lt. Col. and from 1946 to 1952 he was in charge of all press and publications (chief censor) in post war Japan.

313.  NELSON MARK⁶ IMBODEN (David Calvin-5, John Adam-4, John Adam-3, John Adam-2, Johannes Schweickert-1) was born on Mar 2, 1891 in St Louis, MO.74  He was listed as a son in the census in Jun  1900 taken in Cook Co, IL.  He was listed as a boarder in the census in 1910 taken in Boyd Co, KY.  He died on Aug 23, 1942 in San Angelo, Tom Green Co, TX.74  He was buried on Aug 26, 1942 in Boerne, TX.74  The information sent to me by Michelle Stump does not show where Nelson was buried but does show plot E 0 117 which would be next to the one where his wife was buried in Boerne, TX. 

Nelson was a boarder with Martha Walegh in Boyd Co. Kentucky in 1910 as was a George Hudson Imboden (b1878).  One of the census records shows Nelson born August 1890 but information from Michelle Stump, a granddaughter, shows he was born March 2, 1891.  Census records are often wrong.  Other information from her shows Nelson was a Lt. Col. in the US Army.

Nelson Mark IMBODEN and Louise Marschall DAGG were married on Mar 14, 1921 in TX.74  Louise Marschall DAGG was born on Feb 4, 1889 in Loyal Valley, TX.74  She died on Sep 17, 1991 in Boerne, TX.74  She was buried on Sep 18, 1991 in Boerne, TX.74  She is buried in plot: E 0 118. 

Information from Michelle Stump shows Louise was a Sgt. in the US Army.  It also shows she was married and divorced before marrying Nelson.  Additional information from Michelle says she knows her grandmother was a stay at home mom, like most wives at the time, and that the "Sgt. in the US Army" came from the cemetery records.  For the day and time, I belive the cemetery records are probably wrong.  Nelson Mark IMBODEN and Louise Marschall DAGG had the following children:

Earl Leon IMBODEN and Dorothy L. PATTON were married about 1928 in Lebanon Co, PA.76  Dorothy L. PATTON was born on Feb 22, 1906 in Emporium, Cameron Co, PA.87  She died on Jul 1, 2009 in Cedar Haven, PrinceGeorges Co, MD.87  She is buried in Ebenezer Cemetery in Lebanon, PA. 

Dorothy L. Patton Imboden, 103, Lebanon died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in Cedar Haven. She was the wife of the late Earl L. Imboden. Born in Emporium, PA on February 22, 1906, she was the daughter of the late Jackson and Jane Miller Patton. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Lebanon. Dorothy is survived by her son: Jackson L. Imboden, Lebanon; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother: Gerald Patton, Coatesville; sisters: Betty Woody, Coatesville; Madeline Sholley, Coatesville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers: Gene, Leonard, James, Charles and Robert Patton and a sister Beatie Archer. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM in the Rohland Funeral Home Inc., 508 Cumberland St., Lebanon where a viewing will be held beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will be made in Ebenezer Cemetery, Lebanon.

A descendant of Lucien has requested that the birth dates and the spouse names  for members of this family still living as of 2009 not be shown on my website.  While this goes against my purpose of getting my genealogy information as accurate and complete as possible over the last twenty years, I feel it best to comply with this request.

Lucien Hormell IMBODEN and Shirley MINATRA/KEMP were married on Mar 7, 1981 in Las Vegas, Clark Co, NV.43,92  Shirley MINATRA/KEMP was born on Jun 21, 1918 in Taylor Co, TX.93  She died on Mar 22, 2002 in Tucson, Pima Co, AZ.93 

     The following obituary was sent to me by Ruth Walsh, possibly a family member of the Minatra family.  She was trying to locate the second husband of Shirley.  Shirley's first husband was Roy B. Kemp who died in 1975.

     Shirley Kemp Imboden, 83, of Tucson died March 22 in Tucson. She was born June 21, 1918, in Houston (sic – should be Taylor Co., TX) . A former Las Vegas resident, she was a photo-journalist and a Las Vegas real estate agent.
     She is survived by two brothers, her twin, Sidney Minatra of Abilene, Texas, and Jack Minatra of Burnet, Texas; and four stepchildren.
     No local services are scheduled. Heather Mortuary, Tucson, is handling arrangements.

     Information I found on a genealogy web search site shows Shirley was born November 8, 1919 and died February 20, 2005.  These date are probably not correct.

There is no mention if Jeannette was married prior to marrying Gene.  She would have been about 31 at the time of the marriage shown here which is way later than a normal first marriage date.

Jeannette Curtis IMBODEN had the following children:

i. DAN SCHROEDER⁷ was born about 1945 in an unknown location.43  He died Mar 26, 2006 in Tucson, Pima Co, AZ.43

This is a very moving story from Alan Troupe about his cousin Dan, a story I felt should be told.

"Several years ago, somewhere around 1997, I got a phone call from a lady who  said she had talked to my mother and was told to call me. She told a story about how she was trying to find her dad's biological mother. He had been given up for adoption at birth and only knew his adoptive parents. She had somehow gleaned the name "Imboden" and then traced the name to his mother, Jeannette."

"Her accusation that my aunt Jeannette was her grandmother came as quite a shock to me. Not to my mother though since this was known to Jeannette's siblings but no one had ever uttered a word about this to anyone else in the family.   She wanted to call Jeannette and talk to her. I had given her some information about Jeannette and her family and I had warned her about Jeannette's health which was not good at the time. She was suffering from diabetes and heart disease. But this lady seemed determined to talk to Jeannette so I finally relented and gave her Jeannette's phone number."

 "Jeannette did not tell me about the call and the ensuing conversations but several weeks later I received an invitation to a reception/birthday/welcome to the family party. Dan Schroeder was introduced to the family at that event by his siblings, the Glasscock/Imboden children and was given about 48 birthday presents, one for every year that the family had missed. It was a great time."

 "So Dan was now a part of the family and my mom finally told the story of how Jeannette had gotten herself in a family way at about the age 15 and had given the baby up for adoption. It was a fun, touching, and somewhat weird experience, meeting a family member we didn't know was family."

 "Dan lived in Phoenix and it wasn't too long after his welcome into the family that he contracted cancer and subsequently died of it."

The reason for me relating this story, thanks to the work, kindness and acceptance of caring others, Dan went to his resting place knowing his natural family.  Marvin Imboden.
