391.  THOMAS R.⁸ IMBODEN (Thomas Emmet-7, Scott Albert-6, Thomas Valentine-5, George (1820)-4, John-3, Johannes-2, Johannes Schweickert-1) was born on Oct 19, 1933 in MO.26 

I wrote Thomas in May 1994 and received a reply to that letter.  Tom had five children by his first marriage the youngest being Shelley.  The name given in the letter is Shelley Lee.   His current wife at the time was Barbara.  They did not furnish me any real information about their family.

The following was sent to me by Christine (Maddock) Comotto, "Shelley Imboden was born circa 1958 and graduated in 1976 from Riverview Gardens High School, St. Louis, MO.  She married Mike Lee (her high school sweetheart).  They have two sons - David and Jonathan."  Chris and Shelley graduated from high school together.

Genivie Lou IMBODEN and Thomas Laurence MURPHY were married on Jun 12, 1954 in Gallup, McKinley Co, NM.63  Thomas Laurence MURPHY (son of Joseph Buster MURPHY and Muriel Lucille MOORE) was born on Aug 23, 1932 in Corsicana, Navarro Co, TX.63  He died in Nov  2006 in an unknown location.63 

Thomas was in the Air Force from July 1950 to August 1970.  Information from Colleen Tarket shows he married Marry Lucille Hegarty about 1957 in Gallup, McKinley Co, NM after Genivie died.  Genivie Lou IMBODEN and Thomas Laurence MURPHY had the following children:

     I found Auldric in our customer account records at work and wrote him a letter along with some other Imbodens I had found.  He answered my letter.  My wife and I went to visit him and his family in Flower Mound, TX just north of the Dallas/Ft Worth area sometime about 1990.  He was working for Tandy Corporation (Radio Shack) as an engineer at the time.  I do not remember having ever met him before but he said he had been by to visit with my parents in the past.  For all intents, he and I were perfect strangers but it was a pleasant visit.  He and his daughter Shawna have furnished me information on their part of the family.

David eventually moved to Canton, OH where he worked as an Engineer for a company which built bus coaches.  My family lost contact with him about 1990 but I managed to find him through his son Jeremy in 2007.  He was working for Chrysler at the time and worried about being laid off because of corporate problems.  He did end up taking early retirement from there in 2007.  The last time I contacted his son, he said David and his wife were enjoying some traveling.

Bob has worked for the State Compensation Insurance Fund for most of his life.  Again, my family lost contact with him about 1990 but I managed to find him through his brothers son, Jeremy, in 2007.

In 1991 Gary was a bus driver for the Oceanside Transit Department.  Gary and Kerran lived in Provo, UT, Bellflower, CA and Fountain Valley, CA before moving to Oceanside, CA.  Kerran Ann IMBODEN and Gary Allan HARTUNG had the following children:

     Now that it comes to writing something about myself and have the personal knowledge to do, I find that I have no idea what to say.
     My birth name was Marvin Louis Lee.  My father was Robert Marion Lee born in Patterson, Woods Co, OK November 1917.  My mother remarried in 1942 to my stepfather Edgar Leslie Imboden.  I have always used the name Imboden and had my last name legally changed to Imboden many years ago after I was first married to avoid any legal complications later on in life.
     After graduating from high school in 1959, I attended one semester of college at Southwestern University in Weatherford, OK.  I then transferred to Sayer Jr College where I completed three semesters toward an Electronics degree.  I quite college and went to work for the same reasons most people quit school.  I moved to Dallas, Texas in 1962 where I knew fame and fortune awaited.  While working for Texas Instruments, I met my first wife.  I quit work after about four years to attend school at Arlington State College which is now the University of Texas at Arlington.  I was continuing my degree plan toward an Electrical Engineering degree.  After two more years of school, I again quit school for a number of reasons and went to work for Lone Star Gas Company, a natural gas transmission and distribution company.
     Lone Star was bought out by Texas Utilities (TXU) about 2000 and I was laid off about 2003 after 35 years of service and took early retirement.
     I had many hobbies during my life.  These ranged from square dancing, round dancing, black and white photography to genealogy.  Of the many photos I have taken, the following is the favorite of most who have seen my photos and the second is one my favorites.

     I have to give thanks to my third wife, Diane, for allowing me to spend time and money traveling to different places to do genealogy research.  My stepfather once mentioned he would like to know our family history which inspired me to do all of this for him.  Most of what you see was completed before he died in 2000.  I now still spend a lot of time updating my genealogy with information many people send me after finding my website.

Pam was adopted by her parents as an infant.  She did not know who her biological parents were.  She had two daughters from a previous marriage, Sharrylin and Barbara (Barbie) Archibald.

Marvin Louis IMBODEN and Diane Lucille BOONE (Pierce) were married on Aug 4, 1989 in McClain Co, OK.26  The marriage license was issued in McClain County Oklahoma and the marriage took place in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Marvin and Diane lived in Euless, Tarrant County, Texas at the time.  They were divorced on Aug 23, 1995 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co, TX.26  Diane Lucille BOONE (Pierce) (daughter of William Thomas BOONE and Delores Laverne NEWTON) was born on Sep 30, 1953 in Coffeeville, Montgomery Co, KS.24 

Diane had two children from a previous marriage, Kelly and Kimberly.

Marvin Louis IMBODEN and Pamela Joyce WARD were married on Apr 27, 1996 in Bedford, Tarrant Co, TX.26  They were divorced on Feb 11, 1998 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co, TX.26  Pamela Joyce WARD (daughter of Orville C.J. WARD and Virginia Marie WRIGHT) was born on Jun 26, 1942 in Kansas City, Jackson Co, MO.26 

407. LESLIE DEAN⁸ IMBODEN (Edgar Leslie⁷, Robert Lee⁶, Columbus Alexander⁵, George (1820)⁴, John³, Johannes², Johannes Schweickert¹) was born on Sep 22, 1944 in San Angelo, Tom Green Co, TX.26 

     Les attended college at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK where he graduated with a BS degree in foreign languages.  He met his wife and was married while attending college.  After graduation, they moved to Oklahoma City where he worked as a buyer at Tinker Air Force base there.
     He then took another government job working for the National Labor Relations Board which required them to move to  Houston, TX. After a few years he transferred to the NLRB office in Tulsa, OK. After living in Tulsa for several years, they bought a house at Keystone Lake about twenty-five miles west of Tulsa where he commuted to work until he retired.
     Patty decided to get an MD degree while living in Tulsa and finished sometime after moving to the lake.  She open a practice in Cleveland, OK for a while then sold out and went to work for the government at a military base in Lawton, OK.  She would work through the week and commute home on the weekends.  She did this for two or three years then gave up her practice.
     Les and Pat have always been interested in animals, and over the years have become serious birders. Pat has had a number of pets that were wild animals, including a duck, a raven, three crows and a box turtle. Pat even acquired a license to rehab wild animals after she wound up tending to a horned owl that got injured by a golf ball during a family golf outing. After retirement they began to devote most of their time to improving a farm near Stillwater OK to make it optimum habitat for Bob White Quail. Les reported after a few years that they had sighted 127 species of birds on the site.

Leslie Dean IMBODEN and Patricia Evelyn BUNTIN were married on Jun 5, 1965 in Stillwater, Payne Co, OK.26  Patricia Evelyn BUNTIN (daughter of Floyd Arthur BUNTIN and Bessie Lorene SAWYER) was born on Jul 1, 1946 in Norman, Cleveland Co, OK.26  Leslie Dean IMBODEN and Patricia Evelyn BUNTIN had the following children:

     Sharon raised her family for the most part by herself and did a good job of it.  She never had a problem figuring out what to do with extra money, she never had any.  In spite of this she managed to provide what was needed for her family.
     She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics education.
     She worked as a teacher for a while but in 1971 began working for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.  As of 2008 was still working there with plans to take early retirement by the end of the year.

Sharon Kay IMBODEN and Stanley BURKETT were married on Aug 26, 1963 in Wheeler, Gray Co, TX.26  They were divorced about 1967 in an unknown location.26  Stanley BURKETT was born on Sep 4, 1946 in TX.26  Sharon Kay IMBODEN and Stanley BURKETT had the following children:

     Toni was probably the wildest one of us four children but the rest of us grew up in smaller towns in a quieter period of time.
     She is an outward type person and never seems to be down.  She always seems to have a positive attitude.  She has not worked outside the home since her children were born.  What work she has done has been something she could do at home while being a housewife.  Steve has been the main provider.
     She decided not to send her children to public school and provided them with home schooling.  She must have been a very good teacher as all three children have now earned college degrees.
     She and Steve have for the most part lived in rural areas outside of Lexington and Oklahoma City, OK.  Her passion for the last several years has been horseback riding.  She has traveled all over OK and states around OK with horseback riding groups to see the world.
